Lillian Tims
I began working as an intern in the height of COVID-19. I started this work with college students who were struggling through the transition and isolation that came with starting a new stage of life in the midst of a pandemic.
In 2021 I started working with kids in foster care between the ages of 8 and 18. These children had various experiences with trauma, abuse and/or separation from their family.
I have also worked with caregivers that are working to form attachments and provide safety and stability for children in their care. These caregivers include biological parents, foster parents and adoptive parents. I maintained that role for 4 1/2 years before transitioning to private practice.
I have been trained and certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and have completed the National Adoption Training (NTI) through the C.A.S.E institute.
I utilize TF-CBT, DBT, Art, attachment theories and more to support clients process trauma or overcome other mental health struggles.
